Plant Care + Install Associate

Full-Time or Part-Time - $25/hour

Love caring for plants and want to join a growing, local plant design business? We are seeking a talented plant care expert to help us with plant repottings/install work and ongoing plant care for our clients. This position requires an individual with a solid foundation in repotting/maintaining a wide variety of indoor plants (outdoor plants and/or retail experience a plus), a team player who is willing to get their hands dirty, and someone with a reliable work ethic. Someone who has an eye for design and is interested in selecting plants and pots for clients is a bonus. 

Responsibilities 

• Prepping/repotting plants for installs.

• Maintaining workflow at studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Receiving deliveries of pots/plants/materials. 

• Assisting in installations / plant deliveries onsite around the NYC area. 

• Maintaining office/residential client plants on a weekly basis.

• Diagnose/troubleshoot any plant care problems and be able to resolve/treat problems as they arise. 

Requirements 

• Have knowledge of a variety of indoor plants and their specific care requirements. 

• Have practical experience working with plants and be able to skillfully repot. 

• Be able to work independently and be a team player. 

• Be reliable and have good time management / communication skills. 

• Have the endurance to be on their feet for multiple hours and be able to lift up to 35lbs.

• Flexible schedule—able to step in for weekend/late night shifts when needed. 

• Outdoor plant experience is a plus. 

• Having an interest in plant interior design and a desire to grow in that career is a plus.

• Comfortable driving delivery van and small/medium truck in NYC area a huge plus.
